The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of these pieces acquired after their initial manufacture.
The flask:
There is a chip to the mouth rim, associated with a 1 cm. long vertical hairline crack.
There is a chip to a corner.
There are some surface nicks to the edges.
The ewer and cover:
There are some chips to the cover's rim.
There is extensive fritting to the cover's rim.
There is a nick to the foot rim.
There is little wear to the gilding.
The dishes:
One dish with a few small chips / nicks to the foot rim.
The other dish with a flat chip under the mouth rim, and with a few small chips/nicks to the rims.
All pieces with general age-related surface wear and scratches as can be expected.
