The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record the changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
Both:
- Saddles are possibly associated
- As could be expected, there are a few restored breaks and areas of restoration with overpainting such as to the legs, neck and body, touch-ups to ears, hair and eyes and some restoration to tail
Red horse:
- Number 18 (shi ba) is incised on the back
- Both ears are chipped
- A test hole to the underside of chin and another to the underside of body near the opening, the results are currently unavailable
