The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of these pieces acquired after their initial manufacture.
The miniature vases:
One vase with a chip and fritting to the mouth rim.
Another vase with a few small chips to the mouth rim, a glaze chip and an old shallow chip to the foot rim, and small surface nicks to the glaze above the foot.
The third vase with a few minute nicks to the foot rim.
The silver-mounted vase:
The neck has been reduced and is now fitted with a silver mount.
There are a small nick and a short hairline under the foot rim, as well as a few very minute flakes above the foot.
There are a burst glaze bubble and a small surface nick above the foot.
There are some surface scratches / areas of abrasions.
The silver mount with tarnished areas.
The jar and cover:
The cover has been broken and several pieces and restuck and restored with associated overspray, with a few minute losses along the break lines.
The cover with an approx. 1 cm. long vertical hairline crack to the rim.
The cover with some glaze crackles.
There are a few flat chips and a few nicks to the jar's inner mouth rim.
There are two small shallow chips to the foot rim.
Some scattered glaze and firing faults.
All pieces with firing faults and general age-related surface wear and scratches as can be expected.
