The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of these pieces acquired after their initial manufacture.
The hand:
A large crack to the forearm, associated with some other smaller ones.
The edges of the broken section with some chips and nicks.
Some surface dents, losses of gilding and scratches.
Some wear to the gilding.
The Mahasidda figure:
Two small holes to the stand (fixation).
Some areas of wear to the gilding.
A few surface dents to the body.
Some minute nicks to the rims and edges.
Both with general age-related surface wear and scratches as can be expected.
