The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record the changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
It is in our opinion that the property is in good overall condition for its age.
- There is a small lightly abraded spot near one figure on one side.
- There are some expected scattered minor rubbing to the gold lacquer, and some light scratches and surface wear overall.
- The netsuke has a few short fine cracks, a few small rubbed areas, two small areas of touch-up, and the whole figure appears to be covered with a coating.
