The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired since its initial manufacture.
Jar:
- a fine, short curvy firing crack to the mouth and a short glaze crack right below it on the interior of the neck
- the cover is missing
- some expected rubbing to the gilt decoration
- a tiny area under a gilt medallion is not covered by the power blue
Dish:
- a short hairline approx. ¼ in./0.6 cm. to the mouth rim
- a few expected light, short scratches
Bowl:
- some light surface abrasion to the interior and to the exterior
- “90.44.29A” is inscribed in black on the side of the base
