The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of these pieces acquired after their initial manufacture.
Both bowls:
- Extensive fritting and some glaze chips to the mouth rim.
- One bowl with some old small chips to the foot rim, both bowls with a few nicks to the foot rim.
- Some kiln grit adhesions to the foot.
- A few nicks to the foot rim.
- There are some surface nicks in the well.
- There are some firing and glaze faults, including a wider glaze gap in the well of one bowl.
- Both bowl are a little warped.
General age-related surface wear and scratches as can be expected.
