The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired since its initial manufacture.
- both with a few nicks to the mouth and foot rims
- both with some expected minor firing flaws including tiny bumps, glaze gaps and iron spots, which are all inherent to manufacture
One dish:
- a small scratch in the glaze on the rock beneath the lady on the left in the interior roundel
The other:
- a shallow chip to the interior of the foot rim
- two burst bubbles and an associated crack in the glaze on the tree to the right in the interior roundel
