We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired since its initial manufacture.
Larger:
- a chip (approx. 1 in./2.5 cm. wide) to the lower mouth rim
- a few hairlines (the longest approx. 3 in./7.6 cm.) extend from the mouth to the body
- a linear flaw and a bump under the glaze with minor glaze chip to the interior on the well
- a small shallow glaze chip to all three feet
- leans slightly
Smaller:
- two legs with firing cracks surrounding where they join the body and with further fine cracks/hairlines branching out to the lower body
- one of the aforementioned leg has associated loss to glaze on the lower body
- two chips to one foot and short firing cracks to another, all three feet with expected wear on the bottom
- a few shallow chips to the bi-form unglazed area of the underside of the base
- a few scattered glaze gaps and some irregularities to the mouth rim and shoulder
- leans slightly and the glaze on one side appears to be slightly misfired
Charger:
- the charger has been broken into several large sections and restored, with possibly some made-up areas
- the charger is misfired and slightly warped
