The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record the changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
Tray: - some light surface scratches and wear, and a few minute nicks to the edges
- expected wear to feet
- otherwise in overall good condition
Ink box:- a stabilized age crack to the top of cover
- one narrow side of cover have been restuck with associated repair and overpainting
-box with a few consolidated age cracks and some minor touch-ups to the flange and mouth
-both box and cover have expected light surface wear and a few tiny nicks to the edges and corners
