The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record the changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
The bowl:
- a small shallow chip and a short firing crack to the foot rim, and the foot has been slightly polished
- a minor glaze chip to the mouth rim
- a few expected light surface scratches and the glaze to the center of the interior is quite worn
The jar:
-good overall condition
-minor iron spots to the inside
