The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired since its initial manufacture.
Jar and cover:
- Appear to be in overall good condition
- Some expected surface scratches and minor abrasion
Jar:
- A small glaze chip/flake above the foot, and the foot rim appears to have been lightly polished
Cover:
- Some flaking and degradation to glaze, particularly on the finial
- A glaze chip/flake to the mouth rim, and three minor shallow nicks to the flange
