The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
The cover: Some areas of touch-up to the rims; the end of the stem with a flat chip, possibly polished.
There are areas of restoration to the raised leaves.
Some firing cracks are present, possibly associated with other cracks, mainly to the leaf areas.
The box: Some small chips to the rims.
An area on the opposite side of the pointed end of the peach-shaped box has been broken and restored, with additional cracks nearby.
Glaze crackles are present, associated with some hairline cracks.
There is general age-related wear and surface scratches, as expected.
