The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
There is a small chip to a corner of a wood panel inside a door, another small chip along the upper rim of this panel.
A few indentations to the inner door panels due to the drawers’ handles.
One drawer is stuck and cannot be opened, the intervention of a restorer allow this drawer to be openable.
Some age cracks (mainly to the back of the cabinet), including a larger one on the back panel frame associated with losses of lacquer along the crack.
A few losses of lacquer all around, mainly to the rims and edges, some have been touched-up.
A few areas of discoloration.
Some areas of wear to the wood imitation panels.
A nail is missing on the central metal lock.
Two drawers’ handles slightly loose.
Good overall condition with general age-related surface wear and scratches as can be expected.
