The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.

- A horizontal chip to the foot rim, associated with a 4 cm. long section which had been restuck.
- A minute nick to the ear of each squirrel handle.
- Few minute nicks/fritting mainly to the mouth rim.
- Wear to the gilding and enamels.
- Gilt mark extensively faded but visible under certain angle.
- General age-related surface wear as can be expected.
