The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
- One side of the cover's rim was broken and restuck with traces of glue and and some losses.
- There are some losses/chips to the relief decoration to the corners/edges/side panels/feet, few associated with touch-ups.
- There are general age cracks/nicks and age-related surface wear as can be expected.
