The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of these pieces acquired after their initial manufacture.
Polychrome foliated dish:
Some glaze faults ; a few flakes to the enamels.
An approx. 5 cm. wide section of the reverse of the rim with some crackles.
A glaze fault to the base on the mark.
Small blue and white dish:
Some fritting to the rim, including two sections of extensive fritting.
Some areas of wear and abrasions to the glaze.
A few pin-size glaze gaps to the reverse.
Remains of a Bluett & Son paper label to the base.
General age-related surface wear and scratches as can be expected.
