The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The folios are hinged to the mounts along the upper edge. The edges of all the illustrations have been trimmed and are lacking margins except the lower black margin. There is slight yellowing to the paper and a few scattered foxing marks. There is slight fading to the pigments and small scattered areas of discolouration along the edges. There is also a faint rectangular mark along the edges on all folios probably caused by a previous mount. The reverse of all the folios are plain with small scattered areas of staining.
