Buddha's rounded face is finely modeled with a still expression. His bow-shaped mouth and heavy-lidded, almond-shaped eyes beneath arched eyebrows suggest a deeply meditative state. Rows of wavy tendrils rise over the ushnisha, a sign of his supreme enlightenment.
