Sugata [configuration]: broad honzukuri, iori-mune, even curve, extended chu-kissaki
Kitae [forging pattern]: itame with mokume, nagare in places, much jinie and chikei
Hamon [tempering pattern]: suguha with variations, some gunome and ashi of ko-nie
Boshi [tip]: notare-komi with tsukiage
Nakago [tang]: osuriage, file marks indistinct, two mekugi-ana, shallow ha-agari kurijiri
Habaki [collar]: mixed metal
Horimono [carving]: bohi grooves kakinagasu
Koshirae [mounting]: the re-mounted handachi-koshirae with red lacquered scabbard, iron fittings including long kojiri with gold inlaid leafy scrolling, shakudo menuki with kura [saddle]
