The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
- As can be seen in illustration, the top of the aureole is chipped and worn off
- The face and hands of the buddha are chipped and worn off,
- There are some remnant of black and brown pigments
- A few old chips to the edges and corners of the base, the plinth and the aureole
- There are some natural fissures in the stone
