The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
- appears to be in overall good condition
- some light fritting and light glaze flakes along the edges and some minute pits and burst bubbles to the glaze
- minor loss to the black enamel that decorates the horses' eyeballs
box: -loss to one eyeball of one horse on one wide side
- a minor chip to the collar and a few small chips and nicks to the mouth
- expected wear to feet and a few iron spots to the underside
cover: loss to one eyeball of one horse
- minor nick to one corner on the exterior, a minor nick to two corners on the interior, and a few possible small areas of touch-up to the corners on the interior
