A FINELY CARVED PALE CELADON AND RUSSET JADE BOULDER
CHINA, 18TH CENTURY
The oviform boulder is delicately carved to one side with an idyllic landscape inhabited by two immortals walking on a cliff beneath craggy rocks and pine trees. The reverse is carved with gnarled pine trees and vaporous clouds. The stone is of an even greyish-green tone with attractive russet inclusions.
