A CELADON JADE BAMBOO-FORM 'PHOENIX' VASE
CHINA, 18TH CENTURY
The vase is carved in the form of a bamboo trunk with leafy branches and is flanked by two phoenix, one perched on rocks and the other on a lingzhi branch with their heads turned towards each other. The stone is of a celadon tone with russet and paler snowy inclusions.
