The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
- a large area of the base has been broken into several pieces and restored with associated areas of loss, and a crack extending from the base to the body with associated glaze flakes
- three spur marks on one narrow side, which are original to the manufacture
- a chip to where the glaze pulled to one narrow side
- some degradation to the glaze
- expected wear to the base
