A SMALL FAMILLE ROSE VASE
CHINA, REPUBLIC PERIOD (1912-1949)
The vase is decorated on the exterior with flowering poppies borne on leafy stems growing from behind the openwork rocks. The shoulders and flaring neck are painted with a bouquet of auspicious plants tied by a ribbon bow and a spray of lingzhi fungus. The base is inscribed with an apocryphal Qianlong mark.
