The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

This work was examined out of the frame. There are watermarks of the publisher in the upper right and the lower right corners. All four edges are deckled. Two light creases are visible in the upper left corner. A few small areas are slightly glossy in the center of the composition. There is a minute accretion to the right of the figure and another to the right of the painting. Two pinpoint areas of loss are visible, one close to the lower left corner and another to the right of the figure. There is a small soiling mark to the right of the figure. The work is hinged to the backing board at all four corners.
