The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The condition of the printed book is as described in the printed and online catalogue: very tiny marginal tear to half-title, faint spotting to title, original green cloth binding with extremities faintly rubbed.
Each drawing laid down into an acidic mount, one of which has Harting's autograph manuscript description of said drawings, dated to 1871. The mounts gilt-edged, some with occasional uneven fading and spotting. The sheets show some acidic discolouration and some have small scattered fox marks, but all present well.
