Lot Essay

Renowned photographer and co-founder of Magnum Pictures David Seymour captured Audrey in a series of images during dance rehearsals for Funny Face, which accompanied a feature in Coronet Magazine, November, 1956, titled Audrey Hepburn Goes Back to the Bar. In the article, Audrey explained Ballet taught me discipline. Like knowing how to relax without looking sloppy... Ballet teaches you to make every movement and gesture meaningful.
