The artist

In Liquid Modernity, the ground, traditionally a surface of truth and stability, has dissolved into fragmented layers, reflecting the instability of contemporary life. Reality is no longer singular or fixed but fluid, shifting between competing perspectives that destabilize coherence. The sky, often symbolic of freedom, becomes a suffocating mirror of urbanization’s relentless reach, blurring the boundaries between above and below, progress and collapse. The title directly references Zygmunt Bauman’s seminal work, where he describes modernity as a liquid state, lacking fixed anchors and leaving individuals adrift in a world of perpetual uncertainty. Embodying the disorientation of modern existence, Liquid Modernity captures a world unmoored from certainty and overwhelmed by multiple perspectives and the contradictions of its own making. An allegory of a society stuck in between.
