The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In addition to the catalogue description:
- the full sheet, the subject generally in very good condition
- very soft and unobtrusive scuffs in the black and red (mainly visible in a raking light)
- vertical creases in the margin along the extreme upper right sheet edge (approx 9 cm. in length)
- some minor handling creases at the upper and lower sheet edges (only visible in a raking light)
