The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The canvas, stretcher and attachments appear to be in generally good condition. There are few faint areas of drying cracks, most notably to the mountains in the composition. There is minor rubbing to the corners. There are faint stretcher bar impressions to the horizontal edges, with two associated faint hairline cracks to the upper left horizontal edge. When examined under ultraviolet light, there appears to be no evidence of any inpainting. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work is in generally good condition.
