A DEHUA GUANYIN HOLDING A BASKET WITH FISH
19TH CENTURY/EARLY 20TH CENTURY
The Goddess of Mercy is modelled standing on a rocky plinth, holding an openwork basket containing a fish. She wears a long flowing robe with sashes and pectoral jewelry. Her serene expression is framed by an upswept chignon and knotted braids cascading down her shoulders. There are two faintly impressed marks on the back, the square mark, possibly Xu Yunlin zhi, one gourd-shaped, Dehua. The glaze is a cream-white tone.
