A DEHUA RECLINING GUANYIN
20TH CENTURY
The figure is modelled reclining on a bed of leafy lotus borne on frothing waves, wearing a long robe sashed at the waist, her head resting on her propped-up elbow and holding prayer beads in her left hand. Her serene face is framed by braided hair and a topknot secured by a tiara. The back is impressed with a square 'fisherman' seal mark The glaze is a cream-white tone.
