QING DYNASTY (1644-1911)
The figure, possibly Wen Chang, is modelled seated and holding a ruyi scepter in his left hand. His other hand is concealed beneath the folds of his robe decorated with a dragon at the mid-section, his face pierced for the addition of natural strands of hair. The glaze is a cool, white tone.
