The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
The head of the ruyi scepter and the lower left sleeve edge are restored. There appears to be extensive clear coating throughout. The heavily potted base has an old body break which meanders through the rockwork with some associated chips and losses. There are further hairlines:(2) extending down from the shoulder about one to two inches in length; and another longer diagonal hairline across the chest. The back of the figure has some small aggravated firing cracks. There is minor discoloration to the lower edges of the frontal robe. The figure has typical apertures on his face for strands of natural hair now missing. Well-modelled and expressive figure.

- 器座有一道舊裂，蜿蜒雅石而過，並導致幾處磕及缺損
-幾道沖自肩向下延伸約一至二吋，另有一道沖斜行橫越胸前
- 背面有幾道窰裂 - 衣袍前下方有一處輕微變色 - 面有孔，以作穿繫鬚髮之用，鬚髮現已遺失
