A LARGE DEHUA STANDING GUANYIN
18TH/19TH CENTURY
The Goddess of Mercy is depicted wearing a voluminous, long robe cinched at the waist with a tasseled cord, her chest is adorned with pendant strands of jewelry and she holds a ruyi scepter and beads, the face depicted with a serene expression and her hair plaited and arranged in a topknot. The back is impressed with two seal marks, one double-gourd-shaped, Dehua, and one square 'fisherman' mark. The glaze is a cool, white tone.
