A PAIR OF DEHUA BUDDHISTIC LIONS
LATE QING DYNASTY, 19TH CENTURY
Each beribboned beast is modelled with a tufted, long mane and seated on its haunches on a rectangular plinth set with an incense stick holder. One lion is playing with a cub and the other with a brocade ball. The glaze is a cool, white tone.
