TWO DEHUA GUANYINS
Each figure of the Goddess of Mercy is softly modelled and wearing a loose robe, with a serene expression and upswept hair. The first is seated at royal ease on a rocky plinth with a ribboned bundle of scrolls, impressed on the back with a Xuande seal mark. The second is reclining on a block rest and holds a rolled scroll, impressed on the back with a double-gourd-shaped seal mark, He Chaozong. Both with warm, cream-toned glazes.
