Condition report
A Christie's specialist may contact you to discuss this lot or to notify you if the condition changes prior to the sale.
The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufature. Both have extensive old breaks and body cracks with some old restoration and overpainting to the main box structure. There are small chips and losses to the extremities of the interior scenes, including the pine tree, the architectural elements, fingers, edges of the robes, and other areas. Areas in the railings have been reglued. There is dimpling in the surface glaze intrinsic to manufacture.
