拍品專文

In the foreground of the present photograph, embedded on the edge of the Little West crater, is the Apollo Lunar Surface Closeup Camera (ALSCC). Operated by Neil Armstrong during the Apollo 11 mission, this camera could capture close-up and stereoscopic images of the lunar surface. Despite its advanced technology it was scarcely used after Apollo 11, only featuring again on the Apollo 12 and Apollo 14 missions.
