Official British government statement on the cessation of 30 years of British rule in Palestine. The statement notes that 338 British subjects had been killed and over £100 million spent on military security forces in Palestine since 1945. The final part of the statement exudes a tone of weariness and prophecy about 'two peoples bent on open war'. Khalidi & Khadduri 2013.
