Lot Essay

Captured during the lunar module's descent to the lunar surface manned by astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin, the void of space is starkly contrasted by the glittering lunar module. The present photographs were captured by Michael Collins, who remained on the command module for the duration of the moon landing.
