oil on canvas The canvas has been relined The paint layer appears to be secure and stable The painted surface has been cleaned in the past Examination under UV shows a reflective varnish which impairs closer inspection. There are small touches of inpaint. There is light retouching to the edges of the foliage. There is evidence of inpainting on the trunk of the far right tree. There is a small area of inpainting to the left of the far right hand figure. Overall the painting presents well in a gilt composite period style frame with canvas slip.
