The canvas is unlined and is on its original stretcher, which is providing good support. Under UV light there appears to have been a partial clean, but it reveals no significant signs of damage or restoration. There is a minor area of paint loss to the lower right and some very slight craquelure in the top left quadrant to the darker pigments. The picture was previously glazed and there is a note on the reverse to say that in 1991 the condition was thought to be very good.
