The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The canvas is unlined and is on its original stretcher. The canvas appears to be a little loose in the upper left and right corners and might benefit from being rekeyed or restretched.
There is a layer of discoloured varnish and surface dirt and the picture would benefit significantly from a clean. There are some areas of surface cracking in the sky and some visible stretcher marks in the centre of the sky.
Under UV light the layer of dirty varnish fluoresces as does some of the surface dirt which has been trapped in the cracking of the paint surface. However there are no signs of restoration and the picture appears to be untouched.
