The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The canvas has been relined with a wax lining
The varnish is slightly discoloured
In natural light no obvious damages or retouching can be detected, except for a small spot of discoloured cosmetic retouching visible in the centre of the sky.
The original pigments appear to be nicely preserved
The paint layer is secure and in good condition
Overall the painting appears to be in good condition
UV light reveals the aforementioned cosmetic retouching, in addition to minor retouchings along the right edge covering frame abrasions.
