Structural condition
The artist's panel is sound and secure with an even profile and the overall structural condition would appear to be very good.
Paint surface
The paint surface has a discoloured varnish layer and should respond very well to cleaning and revarnishing.
Inspection under ultraviolet light confirms how discoloured the varnish layers have become and how beneficial cleaning should be. Ultraviolet light also shows small retouchings around the outer edges and minimal other spots in the sky.
Summary
The painting would therefore appear to be in very good and stable condition with the potential to be transformed by cleaning and revarnishing.
