The canvas is unlined and is on its original stretcher which is providing good support. The varnish has slightly discoloured and the picture would benefit from a light clean.
The dirty varnish and some of the pigments fluoresce under UV light but these all appear consistent with the artist's original paintwork. The picture is essentially in untouched condition.
