Devotion

The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The canvas is unlined. There is some surface craquelure, particularly in the upper right corner. Some light surface dirt in the upper right corner.
Under UV light there appear to have been a few areas where a test clean has been carried out, including to the young girls's dress and to the male figure, and in the upper right corner. There are a couple of very minor spots of possible retouching to the young girl's chin and cheek.
